How does Snapshot work - where does the data come from?Snapshot© employs a data mining approach to sourcing data. Data mining yields data which is user oriented and easy to access. The data mining philosophy is based on commercial experience - the fact that reports can only be produced when a client determined cut-off point has been defined (e.g.. closing of books month end). It is of paramount importance that everyday reports include common and predictable data as opposed to one report being in conflict with another because of intervening data entry or the absence of key transaction data. Data mining achieves two important goals- firstly, the collation of data from a variety of sources and secondly the "dressing" of the data which provides users with a simplified view. For example, a General Ledger Account code can be seen as a complete posting code or as its components such as division, cost centre and chart number. How do I know Snapshot will work for me ?Mission Critical offers "Proof of Concept" services. This entails visiting a the site of an interested Company, installing the software at no cost, identifying data sources and implementing one or two key reports in conjunction with the company's own personnel. This enables a potential user to quickly assess the worth of Snapshot using familiar data and reports with the added benefit that if Snapshot is adopted, the first few reports will have already been implemented and staff substantially trained. The only cost involved is the on-site time and possibly travel costs for one of Mission Critical's consultants. We are nervous about dealing with small companies - isn't Mission Critical a small company? The term "small" is often misinterpreted. Mission Critical does not see itself as a "small" company. The most secure and robust companies are those who have paid attention to the issues of successfully running a company in recent times. Mission Critical has done just that. Mission Critical does not carry "excess baggage" and is attuned to riding the ever-changing economic climate. Mission Critical adopts sound business practices internally and does not subscribe to the traditional theory that technology is "everything". Mission Critical has witnessed the comings and goings of several "large" competitors during its own lifetime. Mission Critical has achieved a high degree of immunity to local economic ups and downs by developing a client base spread over a broad geographic region. Mission Critical is well know for being highly mobile in terms of visiting its client base regularly. Dealing with a local. modern and streamlined company like Mission Critical results in clients being afforded a by far superior level of personalised service. |
